Pre Workout Yumminess
I normally start out my mornings with a protein shake with greens but yesterday I knew it was leg day and I didn't have much energy. I needed some carbs to really get me going.
Carbs are actually GOOD for you. Your body needs carbs regardless of what celebrities and social media says. It's all about the type of carbs (complex!) and when you are consuming them. I eat my complex carbs around my workouts generally.
Anyways, on to the good stuff...
1 scoop of doTERRA V-Shake (or another protein powder)
1/3 banana, mashed
1 TBSP Almond Milk (or another non-dairy milk)
1/4 cup Organic egg whites
1-3 drops of doTERRA Cinnamon Essential oil
1 tsp of Organic coconut oil (unrefined)
1/3 cup blueberries (topping)
Mash banana first with almond milk and slowly add in remaining ingredients.
Use the coconut oil instead of cooking spray in your pan.
Pour batter into pan, wait about 3-5 minutes before flipping. It should be golden brown :)
Boil down blueberries in the same pan or another fruit as a topping. This only takes maybe a minute unless you want it thicker, keep boiling a bit longer.
