Fat Blasting Juice
I am always creating recipes and looking for ways to blast fat. Who doesn't want to detox, blast fat and have glowing, radiant skin?
I go back and forth between blending and juicing. For this recipe, I used my juicer. (You can get an affordable one on Amazon)
1 head of romaine lettuce
4 cups of Kale or Spinach
A small piece of Ginger
1 Granny Smith green apple
Lots of love + positive energy ;)
I juiced all of those ingredients and then...you ready? I added 2 scoops of my V-shake Protein Powder. Yep. You can use any protein powder, I recommend Vegan and as clean as possible.
The mistake most people make when they juice is having it as a meal. Do NOT do this. This is not enough nutrients for your body, you'll go into starvation mode and if you don't eat another meal, you will lose muscle mass. Muscle mass is important in giving your body that toned look. Adding protein powder gives it an extra boost, keeps you full and is perfect for mid morning before lunch. Once lunchtime comes - you aren't ravenous and you've already had your daily veggies!
Benefits of Juicing:
1. Juicing helps your body absorb all the nutrients from vegetables. Most of us have impaired digestion from making unhealthy choices for meals. When our digestion is out of whack it limits your body's ability in absorbing nutrients like it's meant to.
2. Sneak in your veggies. Juicing is an easy way to get in your daily amount of vegetables without forcing them down. This is easy when it's juice. Yum!
3. Most eat the same vegetables everyday and don't have the variety or the benefits from other vegetables that are missed. Juicing gives your body ultimate nutrition because you are able to incorporate more vegetables.
4. More importantly - listen to your body and purchase as much produce as you can ORGANICALLY. This is huge! If you can, do it. Your body will know the difference.
